Learning Outcomes

This workshop explores various aspects of patient and non-patient moving and handling in the workplace. The aim of the workshop is for candidates to gain an understanding in inanimate load risk assessment and safer handling processes of inanimate loads. On completion of this workshop, candidates will be able to define moving and handling, identify moving and handling risks in the workplace, review risk assessment tools and the legislation relevant to moving and handling in the workplace and understand the Duty of Care (Employer & Employee) and principles of safe moving and handling.
