Learning Outcomes

There are fundamental things that we cannot change about ourselves, and there are things that affect us that influence our behaviours and attitudes. These factors make us who we are – a diverse group of people, and this session explores why these attitudes govern our behaviour and give us opportunities to explore ways of improving our interaction with others. By the end of the workshop learners will know what it means to act in ways that support equality and diversity, act in accordance with legislation and local procedural frameworks, understand where values, prejudice, discrimination comes from, promote the dignity and respect of others, consider the impact of equality and diversity on job roles & service delivery, recognise and report behaviour that undermines equality and develop own action points to take back into the workplace.
