This workshop has been mapped against CQC standards, KSF Dimensions and is run by approved instructors in accordance with General Dental Council and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
Learning Outcomes
This course has been specifically designed for staff working in Dental Practices. It carefully follows the recommendations for CPD training from the General Dental Council and Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines. By the end of this workshop, learners will be able to demonstrate effective CPR (Adults & Children), recovery position, management of a choking patient and safe use of AED (Automated External Defibrillation). By using the systematic A,B,C,D,E approach, learners will also be able to assess and manage the most likely medical emergencies that may arise within the dental practice environment, gain an understanding of the emergency drugs used and demonstrate safe and appropriate use of emergency equipment .
